A four-year member of the men’s basketball program, Arizin has appeared in ten games during his career. He has been a leader of the scout team, often draining long-range threes as part of the team’s game prep for opponents. During games, he’s frequently seen and heard offering a voice of support and strategy to his teammates. A Philadelphia native, Gabe will have a homecoming when the Spiders visit Saint Joseph’s Wednesday. Arizin was a two-time team captain at St. Joseph’s Prep. He is the grandson of Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer Paul Arizin, who was a ten-time NBA All-Star with the Philadelphia Warriors, twice leading the league in scoring.
The radio program will be archived on richmondspiders.com and in the Audio Vault at espnrichmond.com. The show will be held every Monday during the college basketball season. Pending travel and game schedules during the postseason, additional shows may be added at later dates.
Behind The Web is a production of Spider Sports Properties from Playfly Sports and ESPN Richmond, the radio home of the Spiders for 17 consecutive years. In addition to World of Beer, Spider sponsors for the show are CarMax, Cornerstone Partners CoStar Group and Bon Secours Richmond, Bryant Heating & Cooling, Luck Chevrolet and Cabell Childress.
