Storm Isha passed over the Netherlands and brought down some trees but caused few other problems.

The KNMI weather bureau had issued a code amber weather warning for Noord-Holland and the Wadden Sea islands, where wind speeds of up to 110 kph were recorded. However, local safety boards say they have had few reports of damage.

In Lisse and Voorhout, both of which are in Zuid-Holland, scaffolding was blown of buildings and in Delft an apartment building lost part of its roof, broadcaster NOS reported.

A tree on the track also disrupted train services between Sittard and Maastricht for a time. Schiphol airport cancelled 65 flights ahead of the storm as a precaution.

In Ireland and Britain gales and heavy rain led to power outages, flooding and massive disruption to public transport.
